Round Rock Means a High Quality of Life

You don’t have to be a statistician to realize that Round Rock boasts one of the lowest cost of living scores among the country’s high tech communities. Take a stroll down Round Rock’s tree-lined streets and meet some of the friendly neighbors and you are sure to see why so many home buyers covet beautiful Round Rock homes.

Round Rock Means Business

Round Rock is an excellent place to do business – and the city is always working to create a more pro-business atmosphere. Currently, more than 1/3 of Austin-Round Rock MSA residents 25 years of age or older hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, making this region the second most educated work force in the country. In addition to exemplary workers, Round Rock also boasts a robust and diverse economy that features light manufacturing, high tech companies and financial businesses. No matter what your industry, Round Rock can help you take your career to the next level.

Progressive Round Rock government works hard to keep business taxes low to encourage economic development. Tax breaks are readily available for many businesses, and, of course, Texas has no corporate or personal income tax. Unlike many other regions of the nation, Round Rock is proud to offer excellent living and unbeatable business opportunity. You can find it all right here in Round Rock.

Beginner Golf Tips – The Importance of A Pre-Shot Routine

Monday, July 26th, 2010

If you have watched golf on TV one thing that should have stood out is that all Golf professionals have a consistent pre-shot routine that they go through for each shot. Pay attention to them and see just how meticulous they can be in this area.

Their pre-shot routine is a series of moves which helps them set up for a correct position at address to make sure that they are lined up correctly to their intended target. There is no point firing the gun if it’s not aiming at the target.

One of the best tips that I ever learned was to get myself into a routine. The one person that I loved to watch was Jack Nicklaus and this is the routine that he taught.

This pre-shot routine goes for every shot, putting included. Before the club is selected the first thing that should be done is to stand behind the ball and imagine the shape of shot you want to play. It’s important to have a vision of the shape of shot that you are going to execute.

The next thing that should be done is decide on the line of the shot that you plan to take. Standing behind the ball you should follow the imaginary line and pick out something that stands out on the grass within that line.

It may be a distinctive blade of grass or a weed or a blemish, it doesn’t matter so long as you find something within two to three feet from the ball that is on your line.

The clever part now is to place your club head behind the golf ball square to the target line that you have selected, using your mark on the grass as your guide.

Once you have lined up your club head to the intended line, you now need to line up your feet, hips and shoulders in perfect parallel alignment to your intended target line. You should now have given yourself the best chance of positioning your club behind the ball to your intended target.

It is important now once you are set up to relax by giving the club a waggle back and forth a few times to ease any tension in your hands, arms and shoulders. The relaxation should promote fluidity of movement in your backswing.

Get yourself into the habit of using a pre-shot routine; it should also be used even when at the practice ground or driving range.

What kind of short information do golfers usually seek about a course?

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Let me please explain. I’m working on a guide for tourists in South Florida. I can not do without listing the region’s golf courses, unfortunately I do not know much about golf, especially I do not know what kind of (brief) information, regarding a course, are useful to a visiting golf player. Nb of holes, regular phone nb or "tee times" phone nb, etc What is the minimum/essential? Could a golf player help me? Thank you.

I do a lot of surfing online for golf courses. There are a few things that I want to know and I want to be able to find easily. First and foremost is the price. I hate how some courses make it almost impossible to find the greens fees on their website. After the price, I want to see a few pictures of the golf course, I don’t care about the club house, show me a few holes. I also want to see the basic information. Course rating, slope, par for the course. If there are any tee time restrictions I also want to know that. Its really not that much, but its really hard to find a web page that has all of this stuff and its accurate and all in one place.

Fun Land is considering adding a miniature golf course to its facility. The course would cost $52,000, would b?

This is on my study guide and I can not figure it out. Thanks for your help.

Well, it’s hard for us to help you ‘figure it out’ too because your question cuts off in mid-sentence and has no details. If you desire a solid answer, you will need to type the ENTIRE question, by using the ‘Additional Details’ box on your question screen.

Golf Tips and Tricks- Improving Your Grip

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

The placement of your hands on the golf club believe it or not has a lot to do with your golf game. Holding the club can vastly improve your game providing you follow these tips. You will notice a difference.

The first basic understanding is that the hand placement on the club guide the ball. If you have your hands all over the place then the club will guide the ball in the same manner.

There are two types of grips, the light grip and the firm grip. If you grip the club too tight it will cause the ball to slice. The lighter grip makes for easier wrist movement. You have heard the expression before, it is all in the wrist and in the game of golf it happens to be true. In addition to the light grip of the club, you will begin to the feel your arms and hands become more relaxed.

By positioning the club correctly with the light pressure grip, it can help you control the clubs position on impact. When you turn your body as you swing, the club moves at the same time. The body and the club must turn together; it must be a smooth swing. The wrist movement in the swing is the power of the game.

If you begin by placing the club more in the fingers than the palms of your hand you will notice more of an increase in your wrist movement and that can result in longer shots. That is one known mistake to golfers; they place the club more in the lead hand palm than the do in the fingers. By doing that the drive lacks power and the ball will slice.

Your trailing or bottom hand is the stronger hand for most golfers. For example, if you are right handed the bottom hand will be your right hand. This hand should be positioned to extract a powerful drive without over powering your lead hand. Your hands should be placed in equal formation. That is what makes a great player great. The swing of the club at a consistent rate combined with your balance will improve anyones game.

The problem of some players is that the rush the swing. When you do this you lose your balance the ball will not drive properly. If you watch the professionals play, they make their swing and grips look so easy. The swing the club smoothly and they hit the ball hard. Balance is the key; if you have a good relaxed grip and keep your balance you should notice a huge improvement in your game.

These things don’t happen over night so be patient and with a lot of practice you will notice an improvement. Practice at a driving range so you can see how you are driving the ball. Concentrate and follow through and remember it is all in the wrist.
